Brow Lamination - Appointment Prep & Aftercare

Did you know that there are a few things you shouldn’t do prior to a brow lamination appointment?

Within 3 days of your appointment, you should not use retinol or any exfoliation products.

Within 48 hours of your appointment, you should not use self tanning products on the brow area.

We also recommended you avoid tweezing or trimming your brows. Brow lamination is designed to give you that full thicker looking brow so the more brow hair we have to work with, the better the result!

And here are our recommendations for Brow Lamination Aftercare..

First things first, avoid touching or rubbing the area (especially if your treatment included a wax) or doing anything which would cause you to sweat as you do not want any bacteria to enter the hair follicle.

It is crucial to not get your brows wet after a brow lamination for 24 hours.

Also no hot steamy showers/sauna or steam rooms and swimming pools for 48 hours.

We also ask that you do not exfoliate or again use retinoids 3 days after your treatment. The use of retinoids can lead to a reaction, extreme dryness and even loss of brow hair so please ensure you don’t use them near your brow lam appointment. Do not use any tanning products on your face after the treatment for 48 hours as this can discolour the eyebrow tint. We also ask you to not apply heavy makeup on the eye area eg. foundation.

At the end of your treatment you will receive a mascara wand. This is so you can perfectly position your brows every day. As you have had brow lamination, no gel is required to keep them in place but you will need to brush them.

For best results, we recommend investing in a brow conditioner or serum (we retail a couple so just ask your Brow Artist which is best for you!) and using it daily which will keep your brow hairs hydrated.
