Lash Lifts vs Lash Extensions. Which is right for me?

Firstly let’s talk lash lift.

Lash lifts are the most natural looking treatment for your lashes. Giving a dramatic curl (or lift!) which lasts around 6 to 8 weeks! This is very low maintenance once you’ve left the salon and if you feel the lift is less apparent at the 5 week mark, often you just need a lash tint to make it more visible which is perfect for all of you with busy lives. It is important to note that results vary depending on your natural lashes. For best results, we recommend using a lash serum for a few weeks prior if your natural lashes are quite short.

All we ask from you is that you don’t get them wet for 24 hours (e.g. no hot steamy showers/no vigorous exercise), avoid any eye makeup for 24 hours & don’t rub your eyes as it can disrupt the curl. The treatment time is up to 55 minutes and you can add a tint for extra definition.

Before and after of a lash lift with tint (Remember results vary depending on your natural lashes).

Now on to Lash extensions

If you’re looking to lengthen or add volume or both and don’t want to worry about mascara then lash extensions are for you! We offer different looks with lash extensions which are classics, hybrids, natural volume, volume 4D and mega volume lash set 10D. Each set will be customised to your eye shape and based on your desired look.

When you come and get your first set, the treatment will be 1 hour 30 minutes. After that you can get regular infills. We offer a 2 week infill which is 45 minutes and a 3 week infill which is 1 hour. Having lash extensions do require more maintenance but of course have the benefit of adding volume and length. We ask you not to use any oily products whilst having your lashes as we don’t want the bond to break between the glue and your natural lash. We also ask you not to get them wet for 24 hours prior treatment as we want your lashes to fully set.

One product that often causes lashes to fall out fast is sunscreen! And whilst we really want you to use sunscreen to ensure your skin is sun safe, equally it is important to note that the sunscreen will affect your lash extensions so avoid the eye area where possible. We often find that due to this, clients have better retention in the cooler months!

Still not sure which is right for you? Feel free to book in a complimentary patch test to check for any allergic reactions and while you are here you can discuss with your qualified lash artist as to what they recommend for your lashes!
