How do I prepare for my lash extension appointment?

Here are our top tips for preparing for your lash extension appointment

1. Ditch the make-up!

Eyelash extensions must be applied to bare, clean lashes, with no make-up residue left over, otherwise the glue will not adhere properly to the natural lash, which can cause retention issues. Definitely avoid mascara on the day of your appointment and please try to remove as much make-up as you can before arriving to save your lash artist time and this way you’ll be out sooner! Before every lash set or infill we do a complimentary lash cleanse, however we cannot guarantee removing all makeup especially waterproof makeup so it is important you arrive makeup free.

Avoid your morning Coffee!

We know this can be tough for some, but opt for decaf before your appointment. Coffee and caffeine in general tends to keep you awake and stop you from relaxing, as well as make your eyes flutter. This means that your extensions will be harder to apply for your therapist, and may result in a less-than-perfect set. So save the lattes for later!

How can I be more comfortable during my appointment?

This is a relaxing and peaceful appointment, make sure you are nice and comfortable for the duration of your experience. Whether that means wearing comfy clothes or bringing a podcast to listen to, as you may be lying down for a while with little chance to move around. We provide a blanket in the cooler months as well as heated beds and for those Mums to be we provide extra pillows for your bump!

What is the aftercare?

⁃       Avoid hot baths, spas and saunas up to 24 hours after application.
⁃       Wash extensions with a foaming cleanser every 2 days, and avoid non-lash safe mascaras
⁃       Do not use oil based products around your eyes, as this can de-bond the glue
⁃       Brush through your lashes every morning
⁃       Stay on top of your infills (every 2-3 weeks)
